Malta & Gozo#

The islands of Malta, Gozo, Comino as well as several uninhabited small rocks sticking out of the sea, form the Republic of Malta, with its capital Valletta. Sicily with a distance of less than 90 kilometres is the nearest neighbour of Malta. Weather and visibility permitting, Sicily can be seen from Malta, especially at night when lights are burning. With an area of 316 km² Malta is one of the smallest and most densely populated countries.
