The presbytery, the sanctuary, is separated from the rest of the church interior by a wall covered with paintings, the iconostasis. It is only accessible to priests.
Der Altarraum selbst, das Allerheiligste, wird durch eine Bilderwand, die Ikonostase, vom Kirchenraum getrennt. Er ist nur Priestern zugänglich.
