Today, Cyprus with its 9200 km² has a total population of 1.2 million. 75% of them live in the Greek southern part. The more pristine North has about 300,000 people. The official language is - depending on the country - Greek or Turkish. In the south you pay with Euro, in the north with Turkish Lira.
Heute zählt das 9200 km² große Zypern insgesamt 1,2 Mio. Einwohner. 75 % davon leben im griechischen Südteil. Der ursprünglichere Norden beherbergt etwa 300.000 Menschen. Amtssprache ist – je nach Landesteil – griechisch oder türkisch. Im Süden zahlt man mit Euro, im Norden mit türkischer Lira.
