Royal Castle#

The official residence of the royal family exists in its current form since 1770; it was built as a replacement for a castle that had burnt down before. This imperial structure is comprised of no less than 608 rooms, amongst them is the office of the current king. The king’s family enjoys their royal sleep not here though, but in the castle Drottningholm right outside the city.
Seit 1770 erhebt sich die offizielle Stadtresidenz der königlichen Familie in ihrer heutigen Form – als Ersatz für ein davor abgebranntes Schloss. Nicht weniger als 608 Räume beherbergt der imperiale Neubau, darunter das Arbeitszimmer des gegenwärtigen Königs. Ihre adeligen Körper bettet die Königsfamilie allerdings nicht hier, sondern in Schloss Drottningholm vor den Toren der Stadt.
