Wenn wir Richtung Westen auf die Stadt blicken, sehen wir in der Mitte das Hauptgebäude der Universität Laibachs, davor den Kongress-Platz und daneben den Stern-Park. Darunter ist die zentrale Tiefgarage. Von dort kann man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten über einen mehr oder weniger kurzen Spaziergang erreichen. An der Westseite des Platzes erhebt sich die Dreifaltigkeitskirche der Ursulinen, dahinter ist der Platz der Republik. Rechts am Platz der Republik sieht man ein bescheidenes fast schmuckloses Gebäude, das slowenische Parlament. Dahinter, mitten im Grünen, das Tivoli-Schlößl. Links mittig ist die Universitätsbibliothek, entworfen von Jože Plečnik.
Looking west towards the city, in the middle we see the main building of the University of Ljubljana, in front of it the Congress Square and next to it the Star Park (Park Zvezda). Below that is the central underground car park. From there you can reach all attractions via a more or less short walk. On the west side of the square the Trinity Church of the Ursulines rises and behind it is the Republic Square. On the right side of the Republic Square you can see a modest, almost unadorned building, the Slovenian parliament. Behind, in the middle of the woods, is the Tivoli Castle. At the left center is the National and University Library of Slovenia, designed by Jože Plečnik.
