Lucca Lucca, Italy is most famous for its intact city walls from the Renaissance era linking its bastions and today a popular pedestrian promenade and its elliptical Piazza dell'Anfiteatro following the shape of a former second century Roman amphitheatre. But also its numerous churches and the cathedral, the Duomo di San Martino, are worth a visit.
