Im 15. Jahrhundert errichteten Dominikaner die Burrishole Friary, allerdings ohne päpstliche Genehmigung. Das konnte zur Exkommunikation führen, doch der Vatikan zeigte sich gnädig und legitimierte die Anlage 17 Jahre später.
In the 15th century, Dominicans erected the Burrishole Friary, but without papal consent. This could lead to excommunication, but the Vatican mercifully legitimized the complex 17 years later.
