The bronze statue is - with its extended arm - more than 5 meters high and weighs 3 tons. The so-called 'Apostle of the Germans' was one of the best-known missionaries and the most important church reformer in the Frankish Empire and he was consecrated as bishop of Mainz in 743.
Die bronzene Bonifatiusstatue ist mit ausgestrecktem Arm über 5 Meter hoch und 3 Tonnen schwer. Der 'Apostel der Deutschen' war einer der bekanntesten Missionare und der wichtigste Kirchenreformer im Frankenreich und wurde 743 zum Bischof von Mainz geweiht.
