Countless bicycles show the way back to the Royal Library, which was extended in 1999 by a spectacular new building. The construction owes its nickname 'Black Diamond' to its inclined outer facade of polished granite. 5 million books and 15 million manuscripts on more than 160 km of shelves make the library the largest in Northern Europe.
