One of the oldest churches of the island seems to be slightly out of place here. The church of Agios Georgios from the 4th century comes to life every Saturday when, by tradition, the newborns are baptized. And for those being crossed in love the chapel has to offer a spell of love: you have to light a candle, pronounce the name of the beloved three times and turn the candle uIf not, you can try it again next week.
Etwas deplatziert wirkt hier eines der ältesten Gotteshäuser der Insel. Die Kirche Agios Georgios aus dem 4. Jahrhundert erwacht jeden Samstag zum Leben, wenn hier traditionellerweise die Neugeborenen getauft werden. Auch für unglücklich Verliebte hat die Kapelle einen Liebeszauber anzubieten: eine Kerze anzünden, dreimal den Namen des Angebeteten aussprechen und die Kerze mit dem Docht nach unten wenden. Brennt sie weiter, winkt Liebesglück. Sonst kann man es ja nächste Woche abermals versuchen.
