Viele Einschusslöcher erinnern noch heute an die Angriffe serbischer Freischärler aus der Krajina. Damals proklamierten die Aufständischen eine unabhängige Republik Serbische Krajina, die ein Drittel des Staatsgebietes von Kroatien umfasste. Erst 1995 beendete eine Offensive des kroatischen Militärs den blutigen Krieg, der wegen seiner zahlreichen Massaker an der Zivilbevölkerung noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird.
Many bullet holes still remind of the attacks of Serbian volunteers from the Krajina. At that time, the insurgents proclaimed an independent republic of Serbian Krajina. This comprised one third of the territory of Croatia. It was only in 1995 that an offensive by the Croatian military ended the bloody war. The war will be remembered for a long time due to its numerous massacres of civilians.
