Ancient ruins amidst an unspoilt sandy beach: this really exists. Patara Patara, Turkey owes its unspoiled nature to the sea turtles that come to the vast dune landscape to lay their eggs here. Therefore, there is an absolute ban on building. This keeps the beach protected against investors. Only at the eastern end you can see a few water lovers, mostly Turkish families. The remaining 95% of the 15 km long sandy beach you probably will have all to yourself.

Eine antike Ruinenstadt inmitten eines unverbauten Sandstrandes: So etwas existiert tatsächlich. Patara Patara, Turkey verdankt seine Unberührtheit den Meeresschildkröten, die die weite Dünenlandschaft zur Eiablage nutzen. Daher gilt ein absoluten Bauverbot. So bleibt der Strand vor Investoren geschützt. Nur am östlichen Ende tummeln sich ein paar Wasserratten, meist türkische Familien. Die restlichen 95 % des 15 km langen Dünenstrandes hat man meist ganz für sich alleine.
