At the highest point of Arykanda, 3,000 enthusiastic spectators incited athletes and artists to give their best. In Greek times, also artistic competitions took place in addition to running, jumping and throwing competitions. The so-called agons included competitions in music, lyric, dance, rhetoric art and painting.
Am höchsten Punkt von Arykanda ließen 3000 begeisterte Zuschauer Sportler und Künstler zur Höchstform auflaufen. In griechischer Zeit fanden hier neben Lauf-, Sprung- und Wurfbewerben auch künstlerische Wettkämpfe statt. Die sogenannten musischen Agone umfassten Wettbewerbe in Musik, Lyrik, Tanz, Rhetorik und Malerei.
