The King’s Gate of Hattusa#

Five gates used to guard the way into the city. They were protected by lions and sphinxes and high monoliths tower at the entrance area. Right behind that heavy and reinforced gates, secured on many levels, protect the city from attackers.
Fünf Tore führten einst in die Metropole. Von Löwen und Sphingen geschützt, markieren hoch aufragende Monolithen den Eingangsbereich. Dahinter schützten schwere, metallbeschlagene und mehrfach gesicherte Tore die Stadt vor Angreifern.
