Water was also the vital line of Aspendos 36.938889, 31.172222 , next to Side the most important city of ancient Pamphylia. A 20 km long aqueduct spanned the entire valley and led the precious water to the Acropolis of Aspendos. Although founded by the Greeks, most of the ruins that are still visible today date back to Roman times.
