More than twenty raided tombs are the reason, why the area is also known as the “the valley of the kings”. They served as places for ritual worship of the rulers, who were declared gods after their deaths.
Mehr als 20 geplünderte Grabkammern gaben der Anlage den Beinamen „Tal der Könige“. Sie dienten der kultischen Verehrung der Herrscher, die nach ihrem Tod zu Göttern erklärt wurden.
