The Birmahane hospital was built in the early 14th century and is considered one of the oldest psychiatric institutions of the planet. Here, surgical operations were performed and mentally ill people were treated.
Das aus dem frühen 14. Jahrhundert stammende Hospital Birmahane gilt als eine der ältesten Psychiatrien unseres Planeten. Hier wurden neben chirurgischen Eingriffen auch Geisteskranke behandelt.
