In the Ottoman period Amasya was made the “city of the crown prices”. Indeed, three sons of sultans served here as governors. Until this day the city was able to preserve its medieval character.
In osmanischer Zeit wurde Amasya zur „Stadt der Kronprinzen“. Gleich drei Söhne von Sultanen dienten hier als Gouverneure. Ihren mittelalterlichen Charakter konnte sich die Stadt bis heute bewahren.
