Behind the theatre met the Senate, a kind of "city council", made up of the most influential citizens of Palmyra. From the meeting place a door opens to the Agora, the marketplace and meeting place.
Hinter dem Theater tagte der Senat, eine Art „Stadtrat“, der sich aus den einflussreichsten Bürgern Palmyras zusammensetzte. Von dort öffnet sich eine Tür zur Agora, dem Markt- und Versammlungsplatz der Stadt.
