According to legend, the foundation of Osh goes back to King Solomon, so that the rock in the middle of the city is called - promotionally effective - Solomon's throne. Since the Islamic period, the mountain is worshipped even more, for Babur's house, the birthplace of the last leader of the Timurids, also stands here. However, he was expelled by the Uzbeks to India, where he founded the legendary Mughal Empire.
