Typisch für Georgien ist die Gärung der Trauben in Tongefäßen, die in der Erde unter dem Weinkeller vergraben sind. Etwa 70 % der Anbauflächen hat man mit roten Rebsorten bestockt. Die traditionellen georgischen Weine gelten noch als echter Geheimtipp.
Typical for Georgia is the fermentation of the bunches of grapes in earthenware containers, buried under the ground of the wine cellar. Around 70% of the acreage are stocked with a red grape variety. The traditional Georgian wines are still a real insider tip.
