Right next door, Chinese upper class bridal couples use the city park as setting for their photos. According to the tradition, the bride should wear red, the colour of happiness and wealth but not white, the colour of grief and death. Perhaps, one might think, the newlyweds want to insinuate their loss of freedom. However, as the Chinese people know freedom only by hearsay, probably only the high influence of western traditions is manifested.
Gleich nebenan nutzen chinesische upper class-Brautpaare den Stadtpark als Fotokulisse. Der Tradition entsprechend sollte die Braut Rot tragen, die Farbe für Glück und Reichtum und nicht weiß, die Farbe für Trauer und Tod. Vielleicht, so könnte man meinen, wollen die Jungvermählten damit auf den Tod der Freiheit anspielen. Weil die Chinesen aber Freiheit nur vom Hörensagen kennen, zeigt sich hier wohl nur der große Einfluss westlicher Traditionen.
