In der linken Hand hält die Dame ein Gesetzbuch mit der Inschrift 4.Juli 1776, das Datum der amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitserklärung. Die Strahlen an ihrer Krone repräsentieren die sieben Weltmeere und Kontinente, die Fenster darunter die 25 Edelsteine der Erde. In der rechten Hand sendet die Fackel das Licht der Freiheit um die Welt.
In the left hand, the lady holds a statute book with the inscription July 4, 1776, the date of the American Declaration of Independence. The rays on the crown represent the seven seas and continents, the windows below the 25 gems of the earth. In the right hand, the torch sends the light of freedom around the world.
