From the 13th century, the Berber Marinid dynasty used the abandoned area as a necropolis. In the meantime, whole colonies of storks have discovered the ruins for themselves and even do not spare the elegant minaret.
Ab dem 13. Jahrhundert nutzte die Berberdynastie der Meriniden das verlassene Areal als Nekropole. Mittlerweile haben ganze Kolonien von Störchen die Ruinenstadt für sich entdeckt und machen selbst vor dem eleganten Minarett nicht Halt.
