A dusty gravel road leads along the Blue Nile to the small village of Tissisat. In Ethiopia, the river is equated with Ghion, one of the four Biblical rivers in paradise. Today, the Nile plays a central role in the relations with the neighbour countries, especially Egypt, as the Ethiopians regulate its water level with their power stations.
Ein staubiger Weg führt entlang des Blauen Nil zum kleinen Ort Tissisat. In Äthiopien wird der Fluss mit dem Ghion, einem der vier biblischen Paradiesströme gleichgesetzt. Auch heute spielt der Nil eine zentrale Bedeutung für die Beziehung zu den Nachbarn, allen voran Ägypten, da die Äthiopier mit ihren Kraftwerken den Wasserstand regeln.
