The fertile fields are irrigated via hundreds of capillary channels from the Nile. Once the marshland was populated by numerous crocodiles until it was drained by the Pharaohs and converted into a vegetable garden.
Die fruchtbaren Äcker werden über hunderte Kapillarkanäle vom Nil bewässert. Einst war das Sumpfland von unzähligen Krokodilen bevölkert, bis es von den Pharaonen trockengelegt und in einen Gemüsegarten umgewandelt wurde.
