Baobabs always proved a boon for humans and as well as for animals. Trunk and branches consist of sponge-like fibers that store thousands of liters of water during the rainy season. In addition, pulp, seeds, bark, leaves and sprouts serve as food for the locals.
Seit jeher erwiesen sich die Baobabs als Segen für Mensch und Tier. Stamm und Äste bestehen aus schwammartigen Fasern, die in der Regenzeit tausende Liter Wasser speichern. Zudem dienen Fruchtfleisch, Samen, Rinde, Blätter und Sprösslinge als Nahrungsmittel für die Einheimischen.
