Meanwhile, Greenland has become a modern country with social achievements comparable to Denmark, with free health care and statutory pension. Still, Greenland offers little prospects for young people. Alcohol and suicide state a problem, but with the increasing strength of the Greenland identity the situation has improved significantly.
Mittlerweile ist aus Grönland ein modernes Land geworden mit vergleichbaren sozialen Errungenschaften wie Dänemark, mit kostenloser Gesundheitsversorgung und staatlicher Pension. Trotzdem bietet Grönland für junge Menschen nur wenig Perspektiven. Alkohol und Selbstmorde stellen ein Problem dar, doch mit dem zunehmenden Erstarken der grönländischen Identität hat sich die Lage deutlich gebessert.
