are awaiting the tired visitor on the Spanish side. Every few kilometers monasteries and churches invite to take a rest. Among the most important is the monastery of San Juan de la Pena, which the kings of Aragon used as their burial place. The monastery is best known for its Romanesque cloister. Expressive sculptures on its capitals tell stories from the Bible.
