Because Gonzales, the first Count of Castile, maintained a palace in the tiny village of Covarubbias, the village likes to adorn itself with the title: "The Cradle of Castile".
Weil Gonzales, seines Zeichens erster Graf von Kastilien, im winzigen Örtchen Covarubbias einen Palast unterhielt, schmückt sich das Dorf gerne mit dem Prädikat: „Die Wiege Kastiliens“.
