The altar of the monastery church was supposedly made from the first gold brought from the "New World" by the discoverers. Underneath it is the Alabaster grave of the donor couple, King John II of Castile and his wife Isabella of Portugal.
Der Altar der Klosterkirche wurde angeblich aus dem ersten Gold gefertigt, das die Entdecker aus der „Neuen Welt“ mitbrachten. Darunter befindet sich das Alabastergrab des Stifterpaares, König Juan des II und seiner Gemahlin Isabella von Portugal.
