Like most of Gaudí's buildings, the Casa Batlló tells a story, here it is the legend of the dragon slayer and Catalan patron saint Sant Jordi. The cross of the saint is sticking in the back of the dragon on a scaly ceramic roof. Underneath, the bones of the monster's victims are embodied by balconies and bay windows.
