Marbella is situated on the Mediterranean Sea, between Málaga and the Strait of Gibraltar, in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca. It has about 150.000 inhabitants and is one of the most important tourist cities of the Costa del Sol. It is throughout most of the year an international tourist attraction, due mainly to its climate and tourist infrastructure.
Die Stadtgemeinde Marbella liegt 60 Kilometer südwestlich der Provinzhauptstadt Málaga an der Küste des Mittelmeeres. Sie gehört zur Cota del Sol. Sie hat sich mit ca. 150.000 Einwohnern zu einem beliebten Toruristenzentrum entwickelt.
