Its original was the installation of Kalina from 1977 “Passage” (that is why the sculpture is also known by this name). The Sculpture of Anonymous Pedestrian (Pomnik Anonimowego Przechodnia) was showed for the first time in 2005, the author did not change the project, the people wear the clothes from the 70s. The Sculpture of Anonymous Pedestrian is often mentioned globally. In 2011 it was mentioned by Newsweek as one of the most beautiful places in Poland and an American Budget Travel recognised it as one of the most remarkable places in the world. In Autumn 2014 it was presented as one of the most creative city sculptures by www.boredpanda.com. In Spring 2015 a prestigious design and architecture magazine Arch2O included it in its ranking - it was the only object from Poland.
Es stellt ein gutes Dutzend Gestalten in natürlicher Größe dar, die „hinuntergehen” und unter der Oberfläche des Bürgersteigs wieder „hervorkommen”. Das Original war eine als „Przejście” betitelte Installation von Kalina aus dem Jahr 1977 (weswegen es vorkommt, dass es so auch in Wrocław genannt wird). Das Denkmal des Anonymen Passanten wurde erst 2005 enthüllt. Der Autor der Installation hat sein Projekt nicht geändert, die Gestalten tragen weiterhin Kleidung aus den 70er Jahren. Das Denkmal des Anonymen Passanten findet oft in verschiedenen Umfragen Erwähnung. 2011 traf es auf die Liste der 15 schönsten Orte in Polen im Magazin „Newsweek” und das amerikanische Magazin 'Budget Travel” erkannte die Installation sogar als einen der außergewöhnlichsten Orte der Welt an. Im Herbst 2014 erwähnte man sie beiläufig im Service www.boredpanda.com, in einer Aufstellung der kreativsten Skulpturen im städtischen Raum. Im Frühling 2015 wurde ein ähnliches Ranking des renommierten Magazins Arch2O veröffentlicht, das sich mit Design und Architektur beschäftigt - „Przejście” in Wrocław war eins der Objekte in Polen.
