Under the aegis of Willibrord, an Anglo-Saxon missionary at the time of Boniface, often referred to as the 'apostle of the Frisians', Utrecht was developed into an ecclesiastical centre.
Unter Willibrord, einem angelsächsischen Missionar zur Zeit des Bonifatius, der oft als 'Apostel der Friesen' bezeichnet wird, wurde Utrecht zum kirchlichen Zentrum ausgebaut.
