Piet Pieterszoon Heyn was one of the most famous Dutch bucaneers. After his death he became a national hero, mainly because of his successful attack on the Spanish treasure fleet, in the course of which he conquered a Spanish gold ship (today's value € 1 billion).
Piet Pieterszoon Heyn war einer der berühmtesten holländischen Freibeuter. Er wurde nach seinem Tod zum Volksheld, vor allem wegen seines erfolgreichen Überfalls auf die spanische Schatzflotte, bei der er ein spanisches Goldschiff (heutiger Wert; 1Mrd. €) eroberte.
