Strolling through the picturesque streets of Mdina today, you will not feel the unpleasant past of the island. Rather, you will be captured by the charm of this medieval city, truly a gem of Maltese architecture. Today, only 240 people live in Mdina. Museums, restaurants and souvenir shops characterize the urban image.
Wer heute durch die malerischen Gassen Mdinas spaziert, spürt nichts mehr von der rauen Vergangenheit der Insel. Vielmehr wird er gefangen vom Reiz dieser mittelalterlichen Stadt, wahrlich ein Kleinod maltesischer Baukunst. Heute leben nur noch 240 Menschen in Mdina. Museen, Restaurants und Andenkenläden prägen das Stadtbild.
