Above Ramla Bay, it straightens out why Gozo is known as the 'Isle of Calypso'. It is said that in an inconspicuous cave in the sandstone cliffs the Greek nymph had lived and coddled the shipwrecked Odysseus for seven years. There is no need to feel sorry for the adventurer as Kalypso, the daughter of the Titan Atlas, was considered to be a seductive being of perfect beauty.
