. Das Barockjuwel wurde im 13. Jahrhundert von den Fürsten von Anjou gegründet und später von einem süditalienischen Adelsgeschlecht als Herzogssitz prachtvoll ausgebaut. Man betritt die Altstadt durch ein barockes Tor und steht gleich vor dem Palazzo Ducale, der einstigen Residenz der Herzöge.

. The baroque gem was founded in the 13th century by the princes of Anjou and later magnificently expanded as a ducal seat by a Southern Italian noble family. One enters the old town through a baroque gate and stands right in front of the Palazzo Ducale, the former residence of the dukes.
