But to keep to the facts: Two cable cars from Seis and Ortisei lead to the alp as well as a toll road. The latter ends in the village of Compatsch in the west of the alpine pasture. No vehicles in the rest of the area. If you want to get ahead, you have to rely on shuttle buses or to go on Shanks's pony. After all, the Seiser Alm is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in South Tyrol.
Für alle Realisten: Zwei Seilbahnen von Seis und St. Ulrich führen auf die Alm ebenso wie eine mautpflichtige Straße. Sie endet im Ort Compatsch im Westen des Almgebietes. Im gesamten Rest herrscht strenges Fahrverbot. Wer hier weiterkommen möchte, ist auf Shuttlebusse oder auf Schusters Rappen angewiesen. Immerhin gehört die Seiseralm zu den schönsten Wandergebieten Südtirols.
