The medieval historic center of Capodimonte
Capodimonte, Italy
lies on a Peninsula 15 meters above the formerly volcanic Lake Bolsena. Its best-known attractions include the octagonal fortress "Rocca Farnese" in the center of the village, the collegiate church of Santa Maria Assunta on the Piazza della Rocca, the Palazzo Borghese which is now used as the town hall, the San Carlo church and San Church Rocco with its classical facade.

Zu seinen bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten zählen die oktogonale Festung „Rocca Farnese“ im Zentrum des Ortskerns, die Kollegiatskirche Santa Maria Assunta an der Piazza della Rocca, der heute als Rathaus verwendet Palazzo Borghese, die Kirche San Carlo und die Kirche San Rocco mit klassizistischer Fassade.
