Im Jahr 2009 wanderten die sterblichen Überreste des Padre in die mit Goldmosaiken ausgelegte Unterkirche der Chiesa Nuova. Seitdem zieht unablässig ein Menschenstrom am Grab vorbei. Mit Händen und Taschentüchern streichen die Gläubigen über den gläsernen Sarg, um ein Stück Heiligkeit mit nach Hause zu nehmen.
In 2009, the remains of the Padre were moved to the lower church of the Chiesa Nuova, mosaicked in gold. Since then, a stream of people is constantly passing the grave. With their hands and handkerchiefs, the faithful stroke the glass coffin to take home a piece of sanctity.
