einen der spektakulärsten Küstenabschnitte Europas. Plötzlich bricht die Hochfläche ab. Nur ein Schritt liegt zwischen der grünen Wiese und dem freien Fall. Tatsächlich muss man an den Cliffs of Moher höllisch aufpassen, soferne man keine selbstmörderischen Absichten verfolgt. Bastionsartig erheben sich die Türme aus Sandstein und Schiefer, in deren Felsspalten zahlreiche Seevögel brüten. Eine Wanderung entlang der Klippen gehört zu den eindringlichsten Irland-Erlebnissen – zumindest für schwindelfreie Besucher.

form one of the most spectacular coastlines in Europe. Suddenly the plateau breaks away. Only one step lies between the green meadow and the free fall. In fact, you have to be careful like hell at the Cliffs of Moher, unless you have suicidal intentions. Towers of Sandstone and slate rocks tower like bastions, with numerous seabirds breeding in the crevices. A hike along the cliffs is one of the most haunting experiences in Ireland - at least for visitors not scared of heights.
