Bevor man sich abends durch Kinsales lebendige Pubszene kämpft, lohnt ein Ausflug zum nahen Old Head. Die Steilküste hüllt sich – bei entsprechendem Wetterglück – in ein berauschendes Abendlicht. Man beginnt zu verstehen, warum schon seit jeher Maler und Künstler Irland als Insel der besonderen Lichtstimmungen zu schätzen wussten.
Before one tries to get through Kinsale´s vibrant pub scene in the evening, a sidetrip to Old Head is worth it. The cliff coast is beautiful in the evening light - when one is lucky and the weather is good. One starts to understand, why painters and artists always appreciated Ireland as the island of special lighting atmospheres.
