What is behind the dark stout, the visitor gets to know in the Guinness Storehouse. The 7 storey multimedia information center is considered the most visited tourist attraction in Ireland! The complicated process of brewing is illustrated here multimedia - a staggering PR-show of a global company. Even if Guinness is managed by the multi-company for beverages Diageo today, the family still owns 51% of the brewery. Beyond the brewing the 'Gentlemen of the barrel' how James Joyce called them, proved themselves as generous sponsors. They funded the construction of the huge park in Dublin for example. 1955 the manager of the brewery, Hugh Beaver, pulled off another coup: He first had the 'Guinness Book of World Records' printed. He wanted - no joke - to oppose something reliable against the half-truths that were spread in the Irish pubs.
