Der Bau des Dublin Castle geht auf die Wikinger zurück, doch ihre heutige Form erhielt die Burg im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert als Sitz der verhassten britischen Verwaltung. Die Prunkräume werden immer noch für offizielle Akte und die Inthronisierung des irischen Staatspräsidenten genutzt.
The construction of the Dublin Castle traces back to the Vikings, but the fortress got its present shape in the 18th and 19th century when it was the seat of the detested british administration. The State Appartments are still used for official acts and the enthronement of the Irish president.
