Nicht weit entfernt von St. Patricks Cathedral erhebt sich die zweite Kathedrale von Dublin. Die im 13. Jh. errichtete Christ Church ist bekannt für ihre besondere 'Tom und Jerry'-Geschichte, die in Irland jedes Kind kennt. Hinter der Orgel des Gotteshauses kam es vor 150 Jahren zu einer dramatischen Jagd. Eine Katze verfolgte eine Ratte bis in die Orgelpfeifen, wo beide steckenblieben, gemeinsam starben und schließlich mumifizierten.
Not far away from the St. Patrick´s cathedral the second cathedral of Dublin is located. The Christ Church, built in the 13th century, is famous for its special 'Tom and Jerry' story, that every child in Ireland knows. Behind the organ of the church there was a dramatic chase 150 years ago: A cat chased a rat until they got into the organ pipes, where they got stuck, died together and eventually mummified.
