The Creevykeel megalithic grave
Creevykeel, Ireland
has a length of 61 metres and, deprived of its mound, stands free in the landscape today. In the shallow pits of the main chambers, archaeologists found the remains of four cremation burials. The oldest burial objects - arrowheads, stone axes and ceramics - indicate that the complex was built about 5000 years ago.
