Up to 450 m, the cliffs of Latrabjarg plunge down and harbour huge bird colonies. In addition to hundreds of thousands of puffins and seagulls, at least 5 million of common guillemots have lodged themselves here. All the bird species nest striktly separated into storeys - the kittiwake at the bottom, the common guillemots, the razorbills and the fulmars in the middle, and the herring gulls further up.
