The 400-inhabitant village of Djupivogu Island, Djupivogur has always been a busy trading centre, used by merchants from Copenhagen and Hamburg for centuries. That is why a so-called Langabud was built as a central cargo hub above the harbour. Today, the building houses a regional museum. Under the crest, at least two spirits are said to be living, who - so they say - like to trip the visitors up on the stairs to the attic.

Schon immer war das 400-Einwohner Dorf Djupivogur Island, Djupivogur ein reger Handelsplatz, der über Jahrhunderte von Kaufleuten aus Kopenhagen und Hamburg genutzt wurde. Deshalb errichtete man oberhalb des Hafens ein sogenanntes Langabud als zentralen Warenumschlagplatz. Heute beherbergt das Haus ein regionales Museum. Unter dem Dachfirst sollen mindestens zwei Geister wohnen, die Besucher – so sagt man – gerne auf der Treppe zum Dachgeschoß stolpern lassen.
